Yoga Anatomy

with Andrew Olson • First Sunday of the month

This series of workshops is for teachers and students of yoga. Each session will focus on a particular posture or series of postures from an injury prevention perspective.

Read about our recent Workshop #5:
Standing Balance
Have you ever wondered why it is we wobble around in standing poses? And sometimes the more you try, the harder it becomes to not fall out of the pose!

In this Anatomy Workshop we will uncover the reasons for why standing balance can be so difficult and what you can do to improve your ability to hold poses longer and with more control.

We will start by building strong foundations from the ground up, looking at the muscles in the feet and legs that help us balance. We will then turn our attention to how we can use our breathing and core muscles to create a balanced body that is not only stronger when we are in the pose but also as we transition in and out of poses giving our whole practice more balance and grace.

This workshop is perfect for anyone who wants to build strength and confidence in their standing poses or for teachers who would like to have the tools to be able to help their students find more balance in their practice.

Places are limited so book online to make sure you reserve a mat!
Workshop #6: Topic TBA
